A collection of hydrangeas has been recently created by Borgioli Taddei Nursery, in the famous park covering 20 acres, where azaleas and rhododendrons are already abundant.
The new species were painstakingly selected from those available on the market in the past centuries, and from the most sophisticated varieties despite their apparent lack of any striking features.
In particular, there are H. macrophylla and H. paniculata in the Old Garden, H. serrata under the tree rhododendrons, and H. petiolaris under the crowns of the centuries-old plane trees.
