This oasis was established in 1985, replacing a dump of ferrous material. The inauguration took place in 1991, while in 1997 it was included in the WWF Italian Oasis Network.
Stretched over 2.5 acres, it focuses on the flora from the Ernici Mountain range, and its protection, featuring a collection of rare, and unusual wild plants.
Since 2011, it has been managed by professional researchers from state research institutes and the world of universities: namely, biologists, geologists and naturalists; botanists, zoologists, entomologists, ornithologists, lichenologists, mycologists, science teachers, and computer engineers.

FLORA

The nature trail across the Botanical Garden is full of flower beds, with many species of ethnic flora. There are also three beautiful ponds. The botanical garden is actually found inside a wood of European hop-hornbeams (Ostrya carpinifolia), evergreen oaks (Quercus ilex), maple trees (Acer spp.), downy oaks (Quercus pubescens), South European flowering ashes (Fraxinus ornus), and Oriental hornbeams (Carpinus orientalis).
